- Not being a current holder of another Japanese Government scholarship or already have studied in Japan for more than six months under any scholarship/financial assistance program.

- Prepare a detailed and well-written research proposal outlining your research topic and reasons for applying

- Successfully pass the interview, if invited
- Wait for the decision on your application.
